The challenge match we had against Wolverhampton certainly was tough,
they ran us really close the whole way through, but good scores by all of
our team meant we got the win in the end by just two
points.
As I said last time, I was meant to ride for Glasgow on the Sunday, but
unfortunately the weather got the better of the track and it was rained
off.
At 9:30 on Thursday morning I got a call to ride for Wolverhampton at Swindon
that night. Without any time to spare the van was packed and we were on the
road. I wish I had known sooner as my bikes were ready for Armadale the next
day and I would of liked to change an engine to something more suited to
a track of that size. Anyway, I still got a few points and learned from the
experience.
On Friday, King's Lynn were our visitors, they have been going really well
this season so it was never going to be easy. They rode really well and got
the win, we could really benefit from having a stronger second reserve.
Personally I had a terrible night with bike problems and was shocked when
I found out I had scored 8+3 at the end of the match.
